Whitewater State Park

Located within 1.5 miles, that’s walking distance for most, there are hiking trails, a beautiful swimming beach area, exhibits, snowshoe rentals, and geocaching. The Elba fire Tower is located in Elba less then a mile to the north of the campground!

Golf Courses

Located in the towns of St. Charles and Plainview. Both are public courses.

Swimming Beach

Within walking distance located in Whitewater State Park.

Shopping

Local shops fill the streets in nearby St. Charles and Plainview. There is also a gift shop in Whitewater State Park.

Dining and Food

Elba is located just to the north of the Campground and the Mauer Brothers Tavern serves great food on the weekends with a shrimp and Fish Fry on Friday nights. Tony’s Bar is across the street with a great staff, live music on the weekends and pizza is available! The Elba House Restaurant has great meals and offers weekend specials. There are various cafe’s and restaurants in the nearby towns, of St. Charles & Plainview. Whitewater Winery is nestled just outside of Plainview, about 7 miles from our Campground, a beautiful place that is one of our favorite wineries in the State.
